The municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân has asked Deelrijk for managing the realization of a hydrogen consortium in the municipality. The goal is to implement green hydrogen production (electrolyzer), storage, and distribution in and around Bolsward.
The associated activities include (but are not limited to):
– Research and establishment of a legal entity consortium (laws and regulations)
– Research and establishment of a financial entity consortium (business case)
– Conducting business development for the consortium and the hydrogen hub
– Support for Public Affairs
– Support for engineering and system choice/distribution
– Identifying and creating prerequisites to make the location suitable
Goals
With Energy City Bolsward, we work towards various national and European goals.
National goals:
– 50 publicly accessible hydrogen refueling stations by 2025.
– 500 MW of installed electrolysis capacity by 2025.
– Scaling up to 3-4 gigawatts of electrolysis capacity by 2030.
European goals:
– 6 GW of electrolysis capacity in Europe by 2024.
– 40 GW of electrolysis capacity in Europe
