At Gasunie, the project coordination of the TSO2020 project was carried out. This project included the making of a 1MW electrolyzer in Zuidwending, a hydrogen refueling station in Pesse, and a hydrogen filling station in Delfzijl. TU-Delft also conducted various studies on the use of electrolyzers versus batteries for network balancing. The project was co-financed by the EU. Regarding the subsidies, it was ensured that all consortium partners met the requirements from Brussels. TSO2020 is now seen as one of the kickstarters of the first European hydrogen valley in the north of the Netherlands.
